Item 8.01     Other Events

On June 18, 2020, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia issued a decision finding the asserted claims of the Company’s U.S. patent No. 8,399,514, which claims the TECFIDERA® (dimethyl fumarate) daily dosing regimen of 480 mg/day of dimethyl fumarate to treat multiple sclerosis to be invalid. Biogen intends to appeal this decision.
